ROCK OF THE WORLD-SALT OF THE EARTH MINISTRY, is a state and federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led by a volunteer board of trustees. We are dedicated to fostering a faithful and fulfilling lifestyle for seniors.
OUR HISTORY
Recently founded in 2022, Rock Salt Inc. has aided in hundreds of food deliveries to seniors unable to leave their homes. Most recently we have been able to start providing supplemental food/meals to dozens of seniors residing in assisted living facilities. Every delivery, regardless of the destination, offers a chance for a volunteer-led prayer.
OUR MISSION
Fostering a faithful and fulfilling lifestyle for seniors by providing them with spiritual and physical nourishment that will aid in financial and food security, with the hope of enhancing their overall well-being.
WHY R.W.S.E MINISTRY IS NEEDED
10% of older adults grapple with food insecurity in Central Indiana, and as individuals age, their access to transportation often dwindles, consequently restricting their ability to reach essential resources.
IMPACT OF NUTRITIONAL WELL-BEING
Older adults that are able to maintain food security are less likely to have health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, asthma and depression.
OUR JOURNEY AHEAD
By 2030, the senior population is projected to comprise one-fifth of the total residents in Central Indiana. We are actively addressing the task of fulfilling the requirements of those who will require our assistance. Our board is formulating strategic initiatives that aim to deliver meaningful results and endure the rising senior population.
